Make sure you read this post all the way through.
By the end of it you’ll know how to build your kick-ass Instagram profile, which makes your customers keeps coming back for it.
Fully Optimizing Your Profile
Before we can start growing your account and gain followers, we need to make it as attractive as possible for your target audience.
1) Clear and captivating “User Name”-
Obviously this should be your brand name.
However, if you’re a new emerging brand who can use some brand awareness, you can let people know what your brand is all about just by adding the word “Fashion”/”Style”/Streetwear” to your profile name.
This way customers will be able to recognize that you have a product that they may want to purchase.
2) Use the bold “Name” of your profile to appear in more searches-
The bold name is searchable and part of Instagram’s SEO.
Which means when people using their search term to look for what they want, your profile “Name” will be take into consideration by Instagram’s algorithm.
You can add relevant keywords for your brand like Activewear, Kidswear and so on. This will strengthen your profile and you’ll appear in more relevant searches.
3) Delightful, actionable, informative Bio-
Like your profile photo, your “bio” (i.e. the description at the top of your profile) is one of the first things visitors to your profile will see.
Use it to let people know what you’re brand is all about and give them a reason to follow you.
Include who you are and what you do, and be sure to add a hint of personality.
Kate Spade’s profile does this well:
Does your brand have a social cause? Do you specialize in a certain niche within your industry?
Write these down and let people know what you’re all about. Make sure your bio is clean, don’t overuse emojis.
4) Use Pinned Stories to showcase your best products-
or new stuff your brand is working on.
Use the “swipe up” feature to link to the actual products on your store.
Until not too long ago this feature was limited to certain users only, but now you can take advantage of it too and drive sales through Stories as well
This is incredibly useful to keep your profile fresh and attractive
5) Use the Profile Link to link to your store-
This is a big part of why we want to use Instagram in the first place.
Instagram allows to share only one live URL across the entire platform, so the link in an your profile is incredibly important.
Put a link to your store and let people purchase your products.
Attention: don’t make the mistake of using a non-tracking link in your profile. If the link cannot be tracked, it’s impossible to know how many website visitors or customers were referred from Instagram.
